I have used Birdston Kennels since my dog was a puppy and they are fantastic. Before choosing Birdston I visited many kennels and could not find any that I felt happy leaving my dog in. The facilities are excellent and the staff are lovely. The kennels themselves are clean, large, and well maintained. There are large runs for the dogs to use in nice weather which is a definite plus point. The staff are great with the dogs and very accommodating and professional. My dog has to have a special diet and often needs medication when he is there which they attend to really well. He is always happy to go there which is a true sign of the way he is treated by the staff. I know he is walked every day because there have been a couple of times I have come to collect him earlier than planned and he has been out when I have arrived. Leaving your dog in a kennel is a hard thing to do and I would not use anywhere else because I have total peace of mind when he is there.

Our mum searched long and weary for a kennel for us two Newfoundland's, but none seemed to step up to the mark. She was delighted when she visited Birdston. Within 5 minutes of arriving, she had made her mind this was the right place for us 2 boys. Lance requires medication twice daily, at regular intervals. And the staff are more than happy to accommodate him and administer the tablets. The staff are very friendly and the kennels are immaculately clean, it's a home from home. Mum was also delighted at how clean and tidy we got were when she picked us up to go home. Overall a very pleasant experience. Mum has recommended the kennels to doggie friends of ours. Mums happy if we're happy.

First class boarding kennels, Bruno loves to go to Birdston. He is always in great shape when he comes out. Before he wouldn't eat when we went on holiday however since going to Birdston there hasn't been a problem in fact he can't get in the door quick enough and doest give us a second glance. I wouldn't go anywhere else now; if we couldn't get him in we wouldn't go on holiday.

The staff are so friendly and reliable. What attracted me to these kennels are the smaller number of kennels so I feel my dogs get lots of attention, lovely walks and good food... They always come home looking lovely as I use the grooming service while they are in which is a bonus. 10 out of 10.

Just a note to say thank you for looking after my two dogs Homer and Cassie so well. I was delighted with the care in which they received. I was a bit worried when I boarded Cassie with her open wound. However you did a wonderful job and I was happy to find on my return that her wound had healed over due to your care and attention. I will certainly be using you in the future.

We bought our dog from the cat and dog home after he had been abandoned by his previous owners, so the decision to put him back in a kennel was not an easy one. After looking at a few in the area we were very impressed by the staff, location and facilities at Birdston Kennels. We discussed our concerns with the owner of the Kennels and she suggested leaving our dog overnight for the first time rather than our summer holiday. This proved to be the best decision, as now he almost looks forward to going there and as he is confident we will return, he settles in almost immediately. Our dog has a sensitive stomach and must stick to a special diet and although his food is more expensive than the average brand, there was no extra cost to provide this for him. All vaccinations were asked for and we were advised that if these were not upto date then he would not be allowed to board with them. The kennels are a large size and the dogs are walked by the staff while boarding. This seems to be individual to Birdston as none of the other kennels we looked at offer this service. It is obvious the staff are a genuine animal lover which makes it easier for us to leave our beloved pet and enjoy our holiday. I have used Birdston Kennels for over 2 years and will continue to do so in the future.
